Main Purpose of Job:
The DC Asset Associate is DCM) asset disposal requests and asset disposal dispositions.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the digital asset record is correct by analyzing and investigating the record created by Districts around the state.
The incumbent will create, submit, track, and close out the proper documentation that is required by working with the Department of Government Services.
The incumbent must keep detailed records to ensure the DCM asset database is correct and up to date in reference to asset disposal dispositions for OLA audit inquiries.
The incumbent plays a critical role in receiving all asset disposal requests by reviewing the records reference disposal request for accuracy and completeness.
The incumbent prepares all asset disposal requests, ensuring all documentation and justifications meet established DCM and DGS protocols and standards.
These records will be used to document the lifecycle of all DCM assets.

Education: High School Diploma (or GED equivalent).
Experience: Two (2) years of work experience in physical inventory, warehouse operation, or asset management.
Required: Must have a valid Maryland Driver?s License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of inventory control and storage procedures.
Knowledge of the State of Maryland and District Court and DGS rules, regulations, and procedures for procurement and inventory control.
Knowledge of DCM operation and procurement procedure.
Knowledge of current asset management software/hardware.
Knowledge of fixed asset methods, recordkeeping, and financial processes.
Knowledge of modern office equipment, computer, warehouse and receiving terminology.
Skill in the use of barcode scanners.
Skill in making accurate mathematical calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.
Ability to maintain accurate records and produce accurate reports.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to use a PC, printer, monitor and scanner to receipt and stock items.
Ability to utilize current DCM Asset Management software and hardware.
Ability to prioritize workflow processes, daily tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain valid driver?s license with no restrictions and in good standing.
