Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of carpenters in construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Manage and coordinate the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
- Utilize construction management software to track progress and manage resources
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other contractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Oversee the installation of fixtures, structures, and finishes according to project plans
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards
- Train and mentor junior carpenters to develop their skills
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and techniques
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Primavera or HeavyBid
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
