Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes
- Collaborate with construction teams to plan and execute electrical installations for new construction projects
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Install and connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, or other components according to specifications
- Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, or megohmmeters to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Valid journeyperson electrician license or certification
- Proven experience as a journeyperson electrician in residentia, commercial settings
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools
- Familiarity with high voltage systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
