Zadoon, LLC is a small, family-owned business that buys and sells used heavy construction equipment.
We are seeking to hire a full-time, permanent Heavy Equipment Yard Coordinator.
This role will lead all yard-related operations.
This position requires regional travel and will require a valid driver’s license.
This position also requires familiarity with and the ability to operate heavy equipment.
_If you are not familiar with operating and/or servicing loaders, excavators, backhoes, articulated trucks, motor graders, pavers, and other such equipment, please do not apply to this position_.
The position: Please note that this position will be required to work hours between 7:00AM and 4:00 PM Eastern Time and may be required to go beyond standard working hours on occasion.
We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Yard Coordinator to manage our yard operations.
Candidate must be local to the Baltimore area with the ability to travel regionally as required.

The position will be based at our yard in Crofton, MD, and requires a valid US Driver’s License with a clean MVR, and the ability to operate and lightly service heavy equipment.
_If you are not familiar with operating and/or servicing loaders, excavators, backhoes, articulated trucks, motor graders, pavers, and other such equipment, please do not apply to this position.
_ The position will work normal business hours during the week but may be asked to take on some overtime or weekend work as needed.
What you will do: * 75%: Manage yard activities * Help set up, organize, and manage yard * Ensure fuel and oil station is filled and ready to go * Clean and organize power washing station after each use * Organize tools and supplies stored in storage containers * Source and organize tools/supplies needed * Ensure that office container is kept clean and maintained * Coordinate vendors and vendor access to yard * Ensure that yard is clean, organized, and presentable at all times * Receive incoming machines & manage existing machines * Ensure Zadoon-owned machines are power-washed, serviced & ready to go to market * Obtain full set of photos, videos, and an internal inspection after power-washing and servicing is complete * Ensure non-Zadoon-owned machines are immediately catalogued, including any visible or notable issues, and organized appropriately in the yard * Organize inventory in yard * Conduct general services such as replacing oils & filters * Coordinate more advanced mechanic work as needed * Jump machines as needed * Ensure master switches are turned off after testing/use * Handle outgoing machines * Obtain Bills of Lading where needed * Ensure transport- and port-readiness * Coordinate transport vendors at yard Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Clean MVR, CDL preferred but not required * Must be mechanically minded, and be able to: * Use basic tools such as multimeter, torque wrenches, and other industry standard tools * Fix alternator, replace batteries, grease machines, hydraulic and engine oil changes, replace final drives, basic electrical work, ability to read/understand electrical schematics, etc.
* Perform regular maintenance/PM services on equipment * Helping with loading and unloading of equipment as it leaves or arrives * Removal, safe and proper handling, and repacking of cylinders (of reasonable size) * Handle scheduling inspections and repair contractors, speaking with technicians who are on-site, and holding technicians accountable to the information we need from them (full inspections, photos, videos, ECU readings, etc.
) * Dig deeper on findings to understand cost to fix/replace; deeper than a parts-changer * Negotiate reasonable rates for inspection, repair, and diagnostic work * Pressure-wash and detail machines as needed * Use spray-gun and paint to touch-up paint as needed * Practice general computer skills - email, calendar, etc.
* Practice and lead safety measures, protocols, and procedures * Have at least three years of mechanical experience * Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including bending, lying under machines, lifting and moving up to 50lbs * High attention to detail; must be able to review detailed inspections, specs, and other such documents to decipher issues and problems as they arise * High accountability; must be able to work with little or no supervision and hold yourself to a high standard * High reliability; counted on to be where needed, doing what is needed, when needed.
* Time Management; must be able to work efficiently and complete tasks in a timely manner * Strong communication; must be able to communicate needs, issues, and concerns proactively, in a constructive and growth-oriented manner Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years experience with heavy equipment servicing OR * Minimum 3 years’ experience managing or coordinating a heavy equipment yard and/or associated services * Computer literacy and the ability to learn programs easily (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Salesforce) * Discretion with personal and confidential information * Must reside within commuting distance to our yard in Crofton, MD Other things you should know: * Starting pay will be in the $42,000 - $47,000 range depending on experience + profit sharing bonuses * Candidates who can do most of the work required internally without engaging external vendors will receive preference * 8 Paid Holidays annually * 10 days paid time annually, prorated based on start date * Generous medical benefits * Dental and Vision 100% paid for by the company * Aflac allowance Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $42,000.
