*JOB SUMMARY:*
The Utility Employee performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving material and assists with a variety of functions that help with the daily operations of the Dredge.
This is a very physically demanding position, that requires a lot of manual work.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
· Operate assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner including Dredge, pickup truck, skid steer loaders, backhoe, and mini-excavator.
· Understand and follow all Federal, State, Local, and Corporate safety regulations and policies.
· Capable of climbing a ladder, reaching overhead, bending, pulling on wrenches, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
· Capable of working at height and in confined spaces.
· Capable of shoveling wet, sticky, material for extended periods of time.
· Capable of safely operating a cutting torch.
· Support and assist in routine maintenance as directed by management.
· Notify Plant Supervisor of any maintenance or repairs needed.
· Will be required to maintain a clean working environment.
· Willing to work outside in all types of weather.
· Willing to learn additional tasks and take on multiple roles as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
*QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:*
* 2+ years of welding experience, preferred.
* Knowledge of equipment preferred.
* Prior farming experience preferred.
* Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed.
* Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Must possess the ability to solve problems quickly and independently.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
· Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
· The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
· Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.
*PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:*
· Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting – up to 50 pounds.
