Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician
Easton Utilities is currently seeking to fill the position of Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician.
JOB OBJECTIVE: Provide Easton Velocity customers with excellent cable service by handling all activity involved with proper cable reception.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with on-call requirements.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job involves climbing, lifting, bending, working in attics, crawlspaces, and digging in all weather conditions.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
Must wear proper PPE at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
For placement at Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician Trainee:
Knowledge and experience with electricity preferred.
Knowledge of general aerial and underground construction preferred.
Must have good verbal communication skills, organizational skills and ability to work well with the public.
Have a valid MD CDL restricted Class A or the ability to obtain one within in one (1) year.
For placement at Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician I:
In addition to the requirements for Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician Trainee;
Must successfully demonstrate the ability to perform standard installations in accordance with NCTA recommended practices and Easton Utilities policies.
Install and repair of coax and fiber optic cables.
Must have at least one year of related cable or internet distribution experience.
For placement at Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician II:
In addition to the requirements for Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician Trainee and I;
Understanding of RF and optical design.
Must have three years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician II or equivalent.
For placement at Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician III:
In addition to the requirements for Easton Velocity Maintenance Technician Trainee, I and II;
Ability to lead projects from conception to completion.
Must have five years’ experience as Maintenance Technician III or equivalent.
