Sales Support Engineer

*SALES SUPPORT ENGINEER* Growth opportunity at lighting manufacturer supplying emergency systems for commercial, public use and industrial buildings.
Innovative products include DC power distribution, advanced custom software, and LED lighting fixtures.
We are looking for an energetic person, motivated by the challenge of supporting sales of a modern product that has strong recognition and proven quality with explosive growth potential.
This is a fast- growing market, which offers high value to the end user.
Ability to understand basic wiring circuit schematics is required, and any experience with electrical or mechanical layouts for commercial buildings is valuable.
Some travel to projects may be required for technical support on site.
Operations include: · Telephone and written communication with electrical contractors, lighting manufacturers or company sales representatives during project installation phases.
· Review building design lighting plans in CAD or PDF format and create draft circuit layouts for low voltage wiring.
· Assistance in company design and development of new products.
· Review company production assembly manuals, bills of materials and manufacturing system data.
Experience in the lighting industry, either through manufacturing or sales activity, is not mandatory but is a strong asset.
General experience with basic office programs is required, and some experience with graphics software such as Adobe Acrobat is useful.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in technical sales support.
Compensation package commensurate with experience and potential.
