*Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:* * Process work orders to conduct preventative maintenance and repairs of facility and equipment ensuring all activities are properly documented.
* Inspect and maintain safety controls to ensure all equipment operates in a safe manner.
* Support production personnel on proper operation and use of equipment.
* Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas, and handbooks.
* Fabricate, weld, and cut with a torch.
* Operate lathe, milling machine and drill press as required.
* Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, including: -Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
- PLC Ladder logic (ability to program is a plus).
- Solder and build cable assemblies.
- Servo and variable frequency drives.
* Use and understand NEC Electrical Code Book.
* Operate powered equipment including, but not limited to, cranes, forklifts, work savers, platform lifts and aerial lifts.
*Required Education and Experience* * High School Diploma or GED * Must be able to perform maintenance tasks safely (lift, twist, and work in sitting, squatting, standing and elevated positions) to avoid injuries and accidents.
* Certification in related field and minimum of 3 (three) years industrial equipment maintenance experience.
Equivalent experience to be considered in lieu of certification.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft applications used for compiling data and work records.
*Physical Demands* * Must be able to independently lift/move up to 70 lbs.
* Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crouch or crawl on a frequent to continual basis in a production environment.
* Reach above shoulder level frequently.
* Must be able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, protective clothing, etc.
