• Serve as a Communications Electronics Technician in support of government technical lead for US Navy programs.
• Assist the technical lead to build, integrate, test, and provide engineering, verification, and validation of
RF Communication subsystem upgrades for US Navy systems.
• Provide technical support of HF, SHF, SAT, and VHF/UHF voice and digital radio systems.
• Update program documentation and procedures (e.
g.
, IRD, IDP, SOVT, FIT, PITCO, and FRCB processes).
• Install software on computers using provided Installation Guides.
• Maintain laboratory hardware communications systems.
• Support an integrated logistics team to update inventories, track procurements, and prepare hardware system pack-outs for shipment.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with SHF, UHF, and HF Communications systems.
• Technical knowledge in building, integrating, and testing communications systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in preparing Installation Requirement Drawings packages, Operations and
Maintenance Manuals, and User Manuals.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience with Navy radio systems.
