Ensures the successful execution of plant operations from a maintenance perspective , while ensuring procedures, people and resources are aligned to accomplish established goals in regards to quality, efficiency and safety.
Provide technical support , industry expertise, encouragement and guidance to direct reports and the maintenance team promoting optimal plant performance.
Day Shift
Duties/Activities Required by Job
Responsible for organizing, motivating, and maintaining an effective maintenance program to ensure facility performance objectives are met.
Responsible for training and development of staff, directing the department on a daily basis.
Provide coaching and training to increase competency and commitment
Manage the daily operations and maintenance of site equipment.
Plan and schedule equipment repairs and schedule and execute required preventative maintenance (PM) through the use of a computerized maintenance management system.
Ensure compliance with all company, state and federal rules, regulations and guidelines
Ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn according to job requirement.
Proactively provide feedback to management regarding hazards in the workplace and deal with emergency situations
Educations/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Maintenance field desired.
Technical degree/training and/or relevant certifications in General Maintenance, Electrical and/or Refrigeration (RETA) or,
5-7 plus years demonstrated maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment, must include successful track record managing 10-15 mechanics, experience will be considered in lieu of degree, previous poultry experience preferred, previous manufacturing management experience required if no poultry.
Some experience with financial analysis in a Maintenance setting (Agristats), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) in depth knowledge and experience.
Knowledge of USDA regulations on sanitation, pre-operations guidelines and operations.
