This role is responsible for providing support in the Network Operations Center (NOC).
The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of products and services.

Primary Responsibilities: Provide Tier III Technical Support to the NOC ensuring uninterrupted unimpaired service of IMS Transport Messaging and GLOBALink systems.
Troubleshoot and provide engineering solutions for new service implementations equipment installation and configuration and fault restoration.
Analyze issues to provide high reliability data communications.
Provide technical assistance and support to a Cisco based MPLS network with 10 core sites and 1000+ remote sites.
Assist and support the NOC Incident Management staff in fault isolation procedures.
Provide operational support to implementation and engineering efforts within IMS’s wide area network (WAN) and server farm environments.
Work with onsite field technicians or service provider staff to isolate faults and correct any network or service affecting failure.
Provide technical leadership to less experienced members of the NOC.
Ability to work in a 24x7 operations center Swing Shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm with possibility of rotating weekends and on call rotation.
This position is Essential Personnel requiring onsite work for all shifts Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Network+ Certification CCNA Certification CCNP Certification Experience and being highly skilled in the following: IP routing (BGP & OSPF); Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP); Network Address Translation (NAT) and Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN).
Experience troubleshooting and configuring network hardware devices to include routers, switches, firewalls and servers.
Experience troubleshooting technical issues that have been escalated to Tier II and Tier III support in a 24x7 hour operational environment.
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience Candidates must be US Citizen This position is Essential Personnel requiring onsite work for all shifts Preferred Qualifications: RF systems troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of troubleshooting tools including sniffers, Nexus trace, Net Scout, and knowledge of basic UNIX command structure.
Troubleshoot and verify proper BGP connectivity by identifying any packet loss, verifying speed and duplex settings, verifying proper arp entries as well as prefixes received by provider.
Perform head to head testing with service provider in the event of advance WAN circuit impairment/outage.
Depict differences in connectivity troubleshooting methods between MPLS, DMVPN, and Wireless connections.
Detect and explain why a HSRP group may have triggered a state change.
Explain and troubleshoot cMUSE connectivity infrastructure and how network changes may affect end users.
Verify and implement proper routing configurations, including static routes, BGP configurations, and all prefixes and route maps.
Troubleshoot, identify, and implement Access Lists in order to restore service or add a changed customer IP in a break/fix situation.
Configure cellular/wireless build on remote point of presence device and core side tunnel configuration.
Troubleshoot IUPS alarms and configurations.
