Construction Site Superintendent
Location: Annapolis, MD
Responsibilities:
Oversight of all day-to-day site operations, including scheduling, coordination, and delegation of subcontractor work, quality control, and ensuring the safety of everyone on a project site.
Perform duties related to design, manufacturability, performance, compliance, and cost control in all phases of the construction while meeting customer and project deadlines.
Work closely with our project management staff and assigned subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the high degree of quality.
Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to clients; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.
Create and maintain a project schedule.
Prepare, distribute, and track RFI’s.
Review shop drawings and samples.
Proactively manage procurement logs and submittal processes.
Track construction bulletins, RFPs, or other change documentation.
Manage project closeout activities.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Travel throughout the Maryland/DC/Virginia region.
Nights and weekends may be required.
Work under pressure.
Broad knowledge of building systems, trades, and construction methods
Analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex construction issues.
Oversee and coordinate a variety of projects at the same time.
Detail oriented.
Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and plans.
Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
Must have knowledge of OSHA (or equivalent) safety requirements.
Proficient with MS Project and Office Suite.
Knowledge of Bluebeam software is a plus.
General education and experience requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
A minimum of five years' experience with building construction or construction related degrees such as construction management.
CPR and first aid certifications and OSHA 30 training, or the ability to obtain.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally the employee may be required to lift more than 50 pounds.
Ability to respond to sounds and visual terrain.
Ability to recognize and correct unsafe work practices and or conditions.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be US citizens and able to pass background investigation.
Work environment:
Employees will be exposed to construction equipment, moving machines and be at risk of possible electrical charges.
The employee will be expected to work outside during projects in various weather conditions.
