Sierra is an honored recipient of the following awards: Top Workplaces Regional Award HIRE Vets Medallion Award VETS Indexes Employer Award About the Role: The selected applicant for the Electronic Technician I position will work as part of a team to fabricate, integrate, and test multiple assemblies/components required to complete the production of new AN/UPX-24(V) Interrogator systems for US Navy and FMS ships.
The work requires attention to detail, high-quality standards, open communication, team interaction, repetitive work, an inspection of new and kitted parts, and a willingness to report and document data, results, and defects.
The applicant must achieve BAE Systems certifications in various assembly/soldering techniques and perform daily basic hand soldering and cable fabrication tasks.
Will interpret and work with wire lists, schematic diagrams, Manufacturing Procedures (MPs), Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs), and technical drawing packages and use hand tools and various measurement tools and devices such as torque screwdrivers/wrenches, calipers, tape measures, and multimeters.
Will identify, form, and mount components, prep, crimp, and set up tools for conductors, and perform layout and bundling techniques on harnesses.
Will also install small components including micro components onto circuit boards, install circuit boards into sub-assemblies, and install sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses, and cable connectors into assemblies, until a final unit is delivered.
Activities may include inspection of incoming parts and metalwork, parts requests, pre-expendable bin inventory and maintenance, and wire rack inventory and maintenance.
