Assist with identifying and leading training needs for new or modified equipment or lines.
Assist with technical skill training as identified from equipment downtime analysis, troubleshooting, etc.
Assist with individual and team technical skill training plans.

OEM’s, Vendors, Suppliers, Contractors Draft, publish, and review Maintenance Procedures.
Oversee the development and implement technical training programs by the Technical Manager Data Analysis Conduct periodic asset downtime trend analysis by area and business and identify and prioritize improvements based on Business Need Trend SAP MM part usage for opportunities to re-engineer, re-design, or source different components for longer life.
Create solutions based on facts and data to eliminate and prevent technical downtime.
Develop and present technical reports and presentations for various audience levels (staff, management, and external groups) Problem Solving Assist with process for learning’s after major failures.
Provide Operations with technical support on chronic reliability issues.
Proactively improves technical maintenance processes and standards as defined by continuous improvement projects Leads root cause analysis activities through tools such as 6W2H, PDCA and PITs.
Reliability Oversee the preventative and predictive repair programs driven from manufacturer’s specifications Establish pre-set inspection, service checklists, works orders and repair schedules.
Ensures that repairs are carried out in a cost efficient and timely manner, maximizing production capabilities and meeting all health and safety requirements.
Oversee the compliance to the PSM program and integrity of the ammonia system.
Identify, lead, implement, and execute against the facility Maintenance & Reliability Continuous Improvement Plan including breakdown countermeasures, centerlines and KPI’s Effectively communicate and execute daily planned maintenance schedule as defined by the Maintenance Planner Leadership Support supervisor in maintenance training and development plan, skills matrix and gap assessment.
Assign work orders and delegate tasks to maintenance team to meet KPI targets.
Provide guidance and accountability to assigned maintenance activities for line technicians.
Assist in the implementation and enforcement of 5S activities inside the maintenance shop.
Ensure the Technical Manager maintains accurate, up to date service records and technical logs for each major piece of equipment.
Provides floor level support to detect, evaluate, or resolve any malfunction or issue with production equipment as needed.
Manages day to day activities of visiting field service technicians, contractors, and temporary maintenance staff Manages and oversees the Maintenance Lead(s) for Production, Building and Utilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the electrical systems and resources (internal and external) to support production and infrastructure equipment.
Provides timely feedback through everyday feedback program to technical staff and conducts annual reviews.
Manages team staffing and work schedule through time management system (KRONOS).
Coordinates with Maintenance Planner, Storeroom and MRO Buyer to establish daily, weekly and monthly priorities to improve plant performance.
Maintain facility/production line conditions in order to meet established GMPs/HAACP, Food Safety Regulations, and Aseptic processes.
Establish and maintain departmental SOPs to meet this goal.
Ensure processes meet or exceed government requirements under FDA, OSHA, GMP, EPA, etc.
Collaborate with all plant functional managers (i.
e.
Plant Manager, Operations, Quality, Technical Manager, Finance, Scheduling, etc.
) to ensure production needs and changes can be met in addition to identifying root cause and corrective action for areas of responsibility.
Implement and maintain 5S program in maintenance areas.
Participates as an active and contributing member of the Health and Safety Committee.
Other roles and responsibilities, as per business needs, assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Line Centric Team (LCT) Responsibilities Define standard processes and tools to handle defects (DH) and ensures that processes are executed properly Follow up with operators to ensure that any defects were handled properly Define / execute on standards for Breakdown Elimination (BDE) and presents breakdown status weekly at an LCT meeting Monitor repair paths Support operators in identifying and solving problems that caused breakdowns Determine planned maintenance needs and prioritize / schedule the process for conducting planned maintenance Share best practices with other Maintenance Leads Ensure constant communication with the maintenance department to establish area priorities Continuously improve established maintenance processes including Defect Handling and Breakdown Elimination Train and coach operators to handle different aspects of maintenance including DH and BDE Skills, Experience and Education: Strong knowledge of electronics, controls, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical components found in food manufacturing machinery as well as proper safety standards for food production equipment.
Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) such as SAP.
Knowledge of PIMS (Parts Inventory Management System) Demonstrated hands on experience with installation, technical and repairs of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills.
Experience in creating, executing, and monitoring manufacturing technical standards and procedures.
Previous experience with instilling and executing plant safety programs.
Experience using Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet) Demonstrated competency in the following: Communication Judgment Multi-tasking Time Management Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to lead individually, in small groups, or lead Kaizen events to identify Root Cause and Corrective Action to improvement equipment and line reliability.
Ability to identify, create, lead, and train others in Continuous Improvement processes and tools as it relates to Reliability and Maintenance.
