We are on the hunt for an experienced and innovative Estimator to join our dynamic team.
This role is central to our operations, and you will be responsible for accurately planning, specifying, and estimating the materials and products that shape our detailed portfolio and custom-designed homes.

Whether you're contemplating a transition from a local home building firm or feel underutilized in a large-scale construction enterprise, this position offers a unique opportunity to those who have a deep understanding of the estimating process in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple projects at different stages, ensuring timely deliverables for estimating.
Source and evaluate potential trades and suppliers.
Oversee our trade and vendor/supplier database.
Develop and manage our standard portfolio model/option catalog.
Consistently update the cost basis and retail pricing for all portfolio and custom homes.
Generate comprehensive Job Start Packages for our construction teams.
Implement strategies to reduce direct cost variances.
Assist in the production of essential management reports, such as perpetual job costs, cash flow, and cash-to-complete.
Provide leadership and motivation within your department.
Qualifications:
10 years overall experience in the housing industry, with significant exposure to estimating.
5 years of managerial experience, exemplified by a proactive work ethic.
Consistent professionalism in behavior, emotional regulation, and appearance.
Strong team player with a focus on adding value to clients, colleagues, and the overall company.
Ability to handle challenging negotiations and interactions efficiently to safeguard the company's interests.
In-depth knowledge of home building processes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in standard construction documentation and familiarity with estimating applications such as Planswift and/or Bluebeam.
Fluent in standard Office technology/software and open to adopting industry-specific technology.
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple high-priority tasks.
Strong analytical, logical, and research capabilities.
Integrity, professionalism, and a strong leadership presence.

Salary & Benefits:
Full time
Salary $90,000 - $140,000 / year, commensurate with experience.
