Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a highly skilled and motivated Virtualization and Systems Administrator (Network/Systems Administration, Sr.
Analyst) to join our Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) and Multi-Level Security (MLS) team.
The Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of virtualization and network infrastructure and operating systems that meets the needs of our CDS and MLS research, development, and deployment projects at our Lexington Park, MD location.
The ideal candidate should have experience in virtualization and operating systems administration with knowledge of networking, and cloud technologies.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site.
Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities Manage and maintain our virtualization infrastructure, including virtual machines, hypervisors, and virtual networks.
Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and CDS/MLS software, with a focus on Windows and Linux.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of virtualized environments.
Implement security measures to protect virtualized systems and data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of virtualized systems with networking and CDS/MLS technologies.
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving system-related issues promptly and efficiently.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in virtualization, operating systems, networking, and cloud technologies, and proactively recommend improvements or enhancements.
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Escalation Procedures and Work Instructions.
Travel Total travel is expected to be less than 10% to CONUS, and occasionally to OCONUS, sites.
Required Qualifications Five (5) or more years of experience in Windows and Linux operating systems and network administration.
DoD 8570.
01 Level 2 Certification (e.
g.
, Security+), or higher.
Experience working with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and provide technical support to end-users.
Experience with Microsoft Office apps (i.
e.
, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications Experience with CDS and MLS solutions.
Experience with NSA Raise the Bar (RTB) standards.
Top Secret/SCI DoD security clearance.
Education Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited college.
Associate’s Degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited college plus four (4) years of additional work experience related to the position may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

For this position, the projected compensation range is $75,000 - $110,000 per year.
