#ZR POSITION SUMMARY This position provides students with an introduction to the General Contractor sector of the construction industry.
Students will work in several departments throughout the course of the internship including: estimating, project management, and field supervision.
Intern students will be assigned responsibilities similar to a full-time entry level position.
POSITION DESCRIPTION The following is a description of the general duties associated with the position.

JOB CHARACTERISTIC RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Support the project management team throughout all phases of construction.
Learn how to estimate costs, solicit bids, and create schedules, etc.
Assist with the coordination and scheduling of subcontractors in the field.
Help facilitate safety protocols on the jobsite.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL: Mobility on and around construction sites and inside the office.
Works in inclement weather/high noise level at times during site visits.
Work at a desk or computer screen with keyboard for extended periods of time.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSES: Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Effectively communicate with all parties in written and oral form.
Mathematical skills, including application and use in problem solving.
Organizational and time management skills.
Well-versed in software specific to job duties such as MS Office suite.
