SMX is seeking a Junior System Administrator who will be responsible for the proper functioning of various operating systems, servers, and applications within the organization to ensure customers run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain all production, test, and development systems in a Windows environment.
Perform system administration activities to include account management, monitoring/management of system resources, monitoring/auditing system logs, back-up/recovery, continuity of operations, security, managing operating systems, and storage management.
Test and install Operating Systems, COTS and GOTS upgrades/patches, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) consistent with security, information assurance, and established change control requirements.
Support a data center environment (HW and SW) to ensure maximum availability for customers.
Assist with creating and maintaining documentation to support the testing, installation, operations and maintenance of data center equipment.
Support basic Active Directory tasks; maintain users and groups; resetting passwords and unlocking objects.
Required Skills and Experience
Clearance Required: Secret
On site requirement: 5 days/week in Patuxent River, MD
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1-3 Years of relevant experience in the following – Windows Server OS's, Windows 10, Active Directory, VMWare Products, LAN/WAN IP Networks.
DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2)
Security+ certificate
Desired Qualifications
Experience with PowerShell, BAT, CMD or Bash scripting is desired
