AVIAN is seeking a Journeyman Logistician and Data Manager to support our Patuxent River, MD customer.
The candidate also serves as the focal point for Data Management within the Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) related projects.

Responsibilities:
Logistics:
Support Platform Modification and Retrofit Integration requirements across multiple platforms.
Ensure all Platform Integration Training requirements are defined and implemented in accordance with the project defined requirements.
Ensure all Platform Integration Supply Support requirements are defined and implemented in accordance with the project defined requirements.
Ensure all Platform Integration Technical Data and Publication activities are defined and implemented in accordance with the project defined requirements.
Ensure all Platform Integration Support Equipment is defined and implemented in accordance with the project defined requirements.
Ensure all other logistics requirements per platform are defined and implemented in accordance with the project defined requirements.
Review and analysis of prime and subcontractor assembly instructions, bill of materials (BOM), assembly work orders, material lead times, and manufacturing requirements planning systems (MRPS) data, trade studies, special tooling/special test equipment requirements, master control media, interchangeability, and other data items as required.
Assess, report, and manage production/manufacturing planning and execution risks.
Hardware and software configuration management.
Review and provide input to Engineering Drawings, Technical Manuals, and other Technical Data to ensure all support requirements are met throughout the aircraft life cycle.
Data Manager:
Responsible for the receipt and delivery of all project data requirements.
Ability to manage and file all data elements in “SharePoint” or other application “AMS CDRL Tool” all data produces or received by the team’s project members or contractors.
Provide support to team members and leadership in developing the Data Management processes needed to manage engineering data files, artifacts, vendor exchange documentation, Contract Requirements Data Lists (CDRLs), and program acquisition documents.
Detailed file and data retrieval organizational skills that support team members needs for access to large amounts of documentation and data.
Support and provide input for project meetings, reviews, and logistics events.
Manage and distribute Government Furnished Equipment/Government Furnished Information (GFE/GFI).
Provide configuration management on software and data deliverables.
Ability to communicate and adapt well in a dynamic team environment.
Good organizational skills
Strong skills in Microsoft suite of applications
Knowledge or NAVAIR SharePoint, Flank Speed, and AMS CDRL tool
Qualifications:
Education: BS or BA Degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, Engineering, or Management.
6 years’ additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’
additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: At least 3 to 10 years experience in operational logistics support and/or data management in a related logistics field is required.
This position also requires a sound understanding of all logistics elements.
At least half of 3-10 years experience should include managing contract data requirements.
