We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join our team in Salisbury, MD.
Perdue's 10-week Summer Internship program is designed to combine knowledge learned in the classroom with meaningful, real-world experiences.
Our Engineering Internship will provide an introduction to college students seeking a career in Engineering.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of the agricultural business processes.
Develop an understanding of researching, developing, designing and implementation of projects.
Develop an understanding of best practices as it relates to project document management and best practices
Develop an understanding of project management techniques.
Develop an understanding of compliance with local, state and federal safety and environmental laws along with regulations, requirements and company policies.
Minimum Education
Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
Preferred GPA is 3.
0 or higher
Experience Requirements
Proficient in the use of commonly used office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
)
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in different production environments (hot and cold).
Some minor lifting may be required.
Able to move freely about agricultural areas including climbing straight ladders up to 150' in height.
Exposed to external weather conditions to include rain and extreme temperatures (-15 to 90 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), and noise (50db to 100db).
Able to use standard office equipment including telephones, computers, copiers, etc.
