Summary
The Marketing Manager leads the identification, development and launch of new product platforms and concepts that are consumer relevant, possess own able benefits and attributes that can be successfully commercialized into a sizeable and profitable new business opportunity.
Additionally, this position will lead the develop of the animal husbandry roadmap in collaboration with the R&D & live teams.
This position would also be responsible for annual new product business plans, i.

, objectives, strategies, in support of targeted volume and profit goals.
This position will be responsible for directing a cross-functional team to ensure their projects are effectively and efficiently managed and will require the ability to effectively direct outside agencies, e.

, research and packaging to ensure all aspects of the marketing plan are well thought out and detailed.
Channels of responsibility include traditional supermarkets, club, mass, and specialty retail (limited assortment & dollar).
This role is based at Corporate Headquarters in Salisbury, MD.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Directs the ideation, identification, and selection of optimal consumer “platform” need states & whitespace for the frozen retail portfolio.
This includes high purchase interest new product concepts that would address each of these consumer platforms.
Leads the successful launch of consumer/customer driven new product concepts that achieve portfolio business goals.
Develops and implements annual long term strategic business plans for innovation initiatives including all objectives, strategies, collaborating with integrated marketing team on tactic development.
Develops the animal husbandry roadmap & implementation in collaboration with R&D & live teams.
Directs all cross-functional duties in order to lead the development and successful implementation of new product introductions, including outside product development and marketing research consultants when needed.
Proactively interprets and applies consumer research studies, syndicated information and competitive intelligence to successfully developing marketing strategies for profitable brand growth
Directs the development of new product positioning and ensure consistent brand communication to the consumer.
Minimum Education and Experience
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing concentration preferred) plus 3+ years related experience.
Consumer packaged product experience a requirement and experience in protein or commodity market a plus.
Must be able to travel as needed.
Must have strong analytical skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, etc.
plus the ability to understand and use syndicated and shipment data.
PREFERRED: MBA
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
