*POSITION SUMMARY* Direct and manage all plant operations, overseeing production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and other related activities, with safety as the top priority.
Lead the mill's culture initiative to foster an excellent work environment and attract and retain top talent.
Utilize lean manufacturing techniques, visual controls, and plant performance measures to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement.
Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and better working relationships.
*ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES* * Improve operational performance and competitive positioning through continuous improvement of production-related processes.
* Assist in overseeing policies, procedures, and processes to minimize costs and maximize production.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency optimization within manufacturing processes.
* Develop a manufacturing plan and production schedule to increase profit while reducing overhead.
* Collaborate with department heads to coordinate purchasing, production, quality, and distribution processes to achieve budgeted year-over-year improvements.
* Execute the strategy deployment plan, implementing and optimizing new technologies and processes for sustainable competitive advantage and long-term profitability.
* Champion health, environment, and safety initiatives within the business while maintaining compliance standards.
* Provide expectations, accountability, and direction to direct reports.
* Prepare and maintain plant budgets; control and monitor costs to maintain budget goals.
* Champion the Plymouth Business System (PBS) and utilize PBS concepts in all aspects of the business to drive continuous improvement.
* Develop a culture that promotes involvement, communication, mutual trust & respect, expectations, accountability, and a passion for excellence.

*Supervisory Responsibilities* Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality.
*Additional Responsibilities* Work with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality organizations to assure project work is effective and meeting expectations to ensure KPIs are meeting desired targets.
*QUALIFICATIONS and EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS* * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Operations Management, or Business; or equivalent relevant experience.
* 8-10 years of manufacturing experience.
* Strong lean manufacturing background.
* Previous experience in metals is strongly desired.
* Travel required.
