Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Project Manager to join our Engineering team in Salisbury, MD.
This position will be responsible for the research, development, design, management, and implementation of capital projects throughout AgriBusiness to improve manufacturing or maintenance processes, using project management best practices as defined by the Project Management Institute.
To provide consultation and guidance to the facility managers for capital projects that will improve manufacturing and maintenance processes.
The Project Manager must be willing to travel as needed to support project execution.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Research, design, and develop capital projects that will improve manufacturing and maintenance processes.
Manage multiple capital projects with projected scopes ranging from $100k - $25MM, from start-up to completion.
Manage capital project implementation utilizing project management best practices.
Manage, monitor, and implement cost control measures to ensure capital projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Ensure capital projects comply with all local, state and federal safety and environmental laws, regulations, requirements and Company Policies, engineering specification, and procedures.
Minimum Education
HS Diploma Required
AA Preferred - Construction/ Project Management
Experience Requirements
10 - 15 years of project execution experience
Understanding of manufacturing technologies
Understanding of project management techniques
Understanding of standard software applications (Excel, AutoCAD, Word, etc.
)
Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills
Must possess a valid motor vehicle driver’s license
Experience Preferred
Project Management Profession (PMP) Certification preferred but not required.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 – 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0 – 100 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0 – 100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 – 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (SDS sheets available).
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities, vender, and customer locations.
Able to use standard office equipment.
